During May through July 2019, Marine Ventures International, Inc. (MVI) provided protected species monitoring during the FY19 Canaveral Harbor Maintenance Dredging Project performed by Norfolk Dredging Company (NDC). The purpose of the project was to dredge the port-channel entrance and harbor to depths of 41 through 46 feet.
Marine Ventures International, Inc. (MVI) along with CSA Ocean Sciences Inc. (CSA) and MSeis Ltd., will hold courses to qualify individuals as a Protected Species Observer (PSO) and/or Passive Acoustic Monitoring (PAM) operators. PSOs and PAM operators are responsible for visual monitoring (PSO) acoustic monitoring (PAM), and protected species mitigation during offshore seismic surveys, wind energy development efforts, or marine construction projects.
